Call for Applications: LGA Education & Community Engagement Facilitators!
RAHAMA is recruiting LGA Education and Protection Facilitators for the Girls' Education and Protection Program (GEPP) across selected LGAs in Kano State. This position plays a key role in supporting adolescent girls (ages 10–19) to enroll, stay, and thrive in school.
- LGAs: Ajingi, Bebeji, Bagwai, Dawakin Tofa, Madobi, Makoda, Kunchi, Sumaila, Shanono, Warawa

Leading the Change: When Tradition Meets the Future of Kano’s Girls
In the heart of Kano State, a transformative shift is taking place. At the Tahir Guest Palace on February 10th, 2026, the atmosphere was charged with a rare blend of ancient tradition and modern urgency. This wasn't just another meeting; it was the moment the Girls Education and Protection Project (GEPP) of the Girls Opportunity Alliance, a program of Obama Foundation brought together the very custodians of our community norms, our traditional and religious leaders, to redefine the future for adolescent girls.

Together, We Took Charge of Our Health
There are moments when a community comes together and something truly powerful happens. Our recent health fair was one of those moments—a day filled with courage, awareness, and connection. Because of this collective effort, lives were touched in meaningful ways.
- 51 people now know their HIV status
- 101 received genotype results
- 95 discovered their blood group
- 71 screened for tuberculosis
